An 18-month fast-track apprenticeship into AI and automation roles, learning to safely integrate AI, LLMs and automation into real workplace workflows.
Overview
Take the first steps in your digital career with an 18-month fast-track apprenticeship into AI and automation roles. You will learn to safely integrate AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and automation into real workplace workflows from day one, operating with confidence within clear governance and ethical frameworks.
The Level 4 Applied AI & Automation programme transforms existing employees or new hires into certified AI and automation practitioners in just 18 months.
What You’ll Learn
Through hands-on practical projects, you will learn to identify opportunities, then design, build and deliver safe and effective solutions that save time and add real business value.
The programme covers process discovery and identifying opportunities for AI, no-code and low-code automation, AI-augmented solutions and their impact on the workforce, and strategic AI implementation and monitoring.
How It Is Delivered
The programme is delivered through a blended learning model, with 80% workplace experience and 20% off-the-job training. It starts with a three-week Technical and AI Foundations ‘Launchpad’, then follows a rhythm of remote weekly learning anchored by in-person ‘Ada Lab’ weeks for each project phase.
Funding
The apprenticeship is fully funded via the Apprenticeship Levy for eligible employers, meaning apprentices gain high-level tech qualifications with no student debt while earning a salary.
Progression
On completion you will be qualified as an AI and automation practitioner, ready to integrate AI and automation into real workflows. You can also progress to Ada’s BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions top-up degree.
This apprenticeship is delivered by Ada, the National College for Digital Skills
