Find Your Course
With The GMIoT

The Greater Manchester Institute of Technology (GMIoT) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. Some are strictly necessary to make the site work. Others are optional and help us understand how the site is used, improve it and measure our advertising.

We will only use optional cookies if you agree. Use the tabs on the left to see what each type of cookie does and switch them on or off, then click Save my choices. Accept all switches on every category and Reject all keeps only the strictly necessary cookies. You can change your choices at any time using the cookie settings button in the bottom corner of every page.

Some pages include videos from YouTube and a live chat and enquiry forms from our CRM provider, LeadConnector. These services may set their own cookies when you play a video or use the chat.

For full details, including how long cookies last and how to manage them in your browser, read our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.

Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the website to work and cannot be switched off. They are usually only set in response to actions you take, such as setting your cookie preferences, filling in a form or logging in. You can set your browser to block these cookies, but some parts of the site may not then work.

• moove_gdpr_popup (GMIoT, 1 year): remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask you again on every page.
• _GRECAPTCHA (Google reCAPTCHA, 6 months): protects our enquiry, application and event registration forms from spam and abuse.
• wordpress_test_cookie, wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-* (GMIoT, session to 1 year): used only when staff log in to manage the website.
• Form session cookies (LeadConnector, session): keep the information you enter in our enquiry and registration forms while you complete them.

Analytics cookies help us understand how people find and use our website, such as which pages are visited most, how long people stay and whether they run into problems. The information is combined and does not identify you directly. We use it to improve our course information and the website as a whole.

• _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics 4, up to 2 years): count visits and show how visitors move around the site.
• _gid (Google Analytics, 24 hours): distinguishes visitors over a single day.
• _clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID (Microsoft Clarity, up to 1 year): show anonymised heatmaps and session recordings so we can see which parts of a page are hard to use.

These cookies are only set if you switch them on. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings button.

Marketing cookies are set by our advertising partners. They help us show adverts for GMIoT courses and events to people who may be interested, measure how well those adverts work and avoid showing you the same advert too often. They may build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other websites.

• _gcl_au, _gcl_aw, IDE, test_cookie (Google Ads, up to 13 months): measure conversions from our Google adverts and support remarketing.
