Overview
Gaining a broad set of skills suited to technical job roles, this CertHE course teaches you how to implement software solutions that enable businesses to develop new products and services and boost productivity through a range of digital technologies. You'll also gain a solid understanding of computing, data science, networking, security, and business systems and operations.
A Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) is a Level 4 qualification, equivalent to the first year of a degree. You will learn hands on in computing labs equipped with industry-standard tools, and work in teams using agile methods to build real software solutions.
What You'll Learn
You will be assessed through practical assessments, written assignments, oral presentations and examinations.
Progression
A CertHE can lead straight into roles such as IT technician, junior software developer or data analyst, or you can continue your studies. The course is also available as a two year Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE), which adds modules in data analysis, DevOps, cyber security and digital leadership.
