Nursing Associate Higher Apprenticeship Level 5 FdSc

A Level 5 FdSc higher apprenticeship at the University of Salford for employers who want to grow their own nursing support workforce.

  • LevelLevel 5
  • SectorHealth & Wellbeing

Ideal for employers in health and social care who want to grow their own nursing support workforce. Nursing Associates deliver safe, effective, person-centred care across primary, secondary, community and social care settings, working both independently and as part of a wider care team.

In year one your apprentice develops professional values, ethical practice and the theory underpinning health and social care, alongside public health, health promotion, safeguarding and risk management across the lifespan. They'll also build the clinical knowledge to care for acutely ill individuals, including holistic care planning and the legal and ethical frameworks involved.

The role bridges the gap between a support worker and a Registered Nurse, so it's a strong way to build a skilled, loyal workforce from within your existing team.
